COTA is legally registered as a Cooperative. Its main administrative body is the Associates Assembly, where all partners are allowed democratic participation independently of their contributions to the Cooperative Funds. This assembly is in charge of selecting the Administrative Council (which comprises a President, Vice-president, Secretary, Treasurer, 3 Main Spokespeople and 2 substitutes, whose functions are to represent and lead the cooperative) and an Auditing Office (which is formed by a Main Auditor and a Substitute in charge of inspection).
